Proper Form
One of the most important parts of working out is using proper form. When you workout in poor form, you risk injuring yourself and / or not accomplishing your fitness goals. When you're lifting weights, the speed in which you accomplish your goals is in direct proportion to how good your form is. The first thing to remember when choose an exercise is to think of its function. For Instance if your doing curls you’ll want to focus only on the bicep, this means no bending your back or swaying. Focus on both the negative and positive aspects of your lifting. So explode on your positive, and hold once at the peak, and then release the weight but at a slower rate that way you work your negative muscles as well. Once you can no longer hold your form that is called your failure point. Do not go past this. You’ll need to now rest for 60 seconds before you start a new set.
I think that pushing yourself past failure can be very helpful when your trying to burn fat and build muscle fast, but I DO NOT believe compromising correct form to do it because you risk hurting yourself and working muscle groups that you might not want to work that day. working muscle groups you don't want to work will put you at risk for over training!
Good Luck, and go train.
